Full Steam Ahead!

Story Times have started, so that means books, books, and more books! We read these four fun books at story time, we played rainbow bingo, and we made cereal bird feeders! Whew!  That's a lot of fun. Join us on Tuesdays for books, crafts, and snacks. All aboard for preschool fun.

Story Times Start Next Week!

The McMinnville Public Library wants to invite you to one of our fun story times. If you have a child ages 4-6 then Tuesday mornings are perfect for preschoolers and parents. Join me for books, crafts, and snacks at 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday (September 11th - November 13th). 

If you have a child between the ages of 0-3 years of age we have a story time just for you. Join Diana on Wednesdays and Nicki on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. for one of our infant/toddler story times. Diana and Nicki will get you moving with song and story and of course, bubbles! The Library asks that you attend only one infant/toddler story time per week (September 12th - November15th).

We look forward to meeting new story time kids, old and young.

It's a wrap for the Emergent Reader Story Time, but don't worry I'll be back September 11th, same time and place. We celebrated with a story time party, reading these fantastic books and eating cupcakes! We also made headbands with pom poms and the kids made paper thaumatropes. I hope the rest of your summer is wonderful and filled with exciting and fun books.

Dogs!

There is only one story time left for the summer so don't hesitate, don't wait, don't contemplate just come check out the fun! Tuesday's story time was doggy fun, we finger painted doggy portraits, we read five great books, and snacked on fruit, crackers, and cheese. Here are the five awesome books we read.

I-Spy Fun!

Today at story time we made I-Spy bottles and snacked on fruit, breakfast bars, and juice. Next week's story time theme is Picasso! We will be paying homage to the great Spanish artist Pablo Picasso by creating a guitar made out of paper. Today we read these five fun books. Join us on Tuesdays for fun, snacks, and of course always, books!

This summer the Emergent Reader Story Time has a different theme each week. This past Tuesday the theme was Japan so the kids made Japanese paper kites and we read six awesome books. Next week's theme is I-Spy! Join us for books, crafts, and snacks every Tuesday through July 31st at 10:00 a.m.

Ahoy! Story Time is Back

Story Time is back! The fun continues every Tuesday (June 26th through July 31st) at 10:00 a.m. in the Carnegie Room. Today we made pirate hats and pirate treasure maps. We read these five great books and snacked on string cheese, fruit, and crackers. Join us for crafts and stories, next week's theme is Japan! See you on Tuesday!
